Hearing loss group to hold meeting

The Hearing Loss Association of Lycoming County will hold their next meeting from 7 to 9 tonight at the Center for Independent Living-Roads to Freedom, 24 E. Third St.

The meeting topic will be, "Coping Mechanisms and Advantages of the Hearing Loss Association of America Membership."

Clean Air Council to hold workshop

DUSHORE - The Clean Air Council will hold a free workshop from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Loyalsock State Forest Resource Management Center, 6735 Route 220.

The workshop will prepare the audience for the DEP public hearing that will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Muncy Valley Fire Hall.

The Clean Air Council will discuss potentially harmful pollutants that would be emitted from the proposed compressor station, potential regional health impacts, and how any member of the public can prepare testimony.

Relay team to hold fundraising dinner

PENNSDALE - The Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Relay For Life Team, God's Speed Walkers, will hold a candlelight and Valentine's Day spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road.

The cost is by donation.

Relay For Life team to host fundraiser

FLEMINGTON - A "Crop Your Heart Out For Cancer" fundraiser for Relay For Life will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Flemington First Church of Christ.

A work space and entry for door prizes will be available for a donation. The event will feature raffles and food. All proceeds will benefit Cora's Crew Relay For Life team.

'Thrive' movie to show at CAC

"Thrive," an unconventional documentary, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St.

"Thrive" is intended to empower a self-creating movement by adding a bold and crucial perspective as well as tools for leveraged action, according to a news release.

Filmmaker Foster Gamble said the video is a result of his lifelong quest to discover how human beings can thrive on Planet Earth.
