Announcement has been made of the engagement of Lindsay E. Lorson and Christopher R. Fox, both of Union Beach, N.J.
An Aug. 17 wedding in Skytop is being planned.
Lorson is the daughter of Linda and Dave Lorson, Williamsport. She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 2002. She received a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Lock Haven University in 2007, and a master's degree in exercise science and physical education from Montclair University, Montclair, N.J., in 2009. She is pursuing a doctorate in curriculum and teaching in physical education at Columbia University, New York City, and a principal certification at Montclair University. She is employed by Bernards High School, Bernardsville, N.J., as a health and physical education teacher.

Fox is the son of Linda and Jim Fox, Egg Harbor Township, N.J. He graduated from Egg Harbor Township High School in 2004. He received a bachelor's degree in architecture in 2008 and a master's degree in civil engineering with a concentration in construction management in 2009, both from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, N.J. He is employed by NATC Donuts, Kenilworth, N.J.
