Announcement has been made of the engagement of Brandy A. McFadden, Montoursville, and Chad J. Davis, Muir.
An October 2013 wedding in Williamsport is being planned.
McFadden is the daughter of Kathy and Mark McFadden, Montoursville. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1999. She received a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Lycoming College in 2003 and a master's degree in education from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, in 2011. She is employed by East Lycoming School District, Hughesville, as a fourth-grade teacher.

Davis is the son of Spring and Glenn Davis, Muir. He graduated from Williams Valley High School, Tower City, in 2002 and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology from Penn State University, Harrisburg, in 2006. He is employed by Burnham Commercial Boilers, Lancaster, as a product development engineer.
