APRIL LINE: I kind of buckled in for a heavy sound when I read "experimental post hardcore" on your Facebook page, but each of the three songs sound completely different. So, tell me about how you landed where you did musically.
AS WE WHISPER: Our band started as a "solo project" created by the vocalist, Tony. After he compiled his thoughts involving music, he began recruiting some members to play it. We all got together at his house one day in the summer of 2011 and heard some of the material he had to offer. Of this material, "Silent Rays" was produced along with the two other songs currently on our Facebook page.
AL: Do you have an album or plans for one? Where are you in the process?
AWW: We are currently in the process of writing our first EP entitled "Journey of its Own." As of now, we have two official songs recorded. We are seeking appointments with producers from the east coast to record the other tracks that will be on the EP.
AL: Why don't you have a website outside of Facebook?
AWW: We actually do. In addition to Facebook, we use websites such as ReverbNation, Pure Volume, YouTube and Twitter to promote our group.
AL: Are you touring now?
AWW: Technically, we are not on tour. However, we are playing many featured events located a few hours from our hometown. We plan to tour in the near future. We'll start by touring in the surrounding states and then make our way up to touring the east coast.
AL: Did you know your songs are on last.fm?
AWW: We had no idea we were on there.
AL: What are your musical histories like?
AWW: We have all been in bands that just didn't work out. It seemed as though we were all just playing music we didn't like or just playing with our friends. Fortunately, we all found each other and have the motivation to take this one to the top.
AL: What can people expect at an As We Whisper show?
AWW: A lot of energy, ambient yet upbeat music that will make you move, overall a tight performance.
AL: Who are your personal heroes?
AWW: Our parents for being so supportive and being there when we need them the most!
AL: If your band could only wear one color of clothing for the rest of forever, what color would you choose and why?
AWW: We would wear white tuxedos for the rest of forever, to stay classy.
