Announcement has been made of the engagement of Lauren Pearson, Eagleville, and Peter Landers, Brookline, Mass.
An Oct. 20 wedding at the Priestley-Savidge House, Northumberland, is being planned.
Pearson is the daughter of Suzanne and Gary Pearson, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2000 and received a bachelor's degree in life sciences from Penn State University in 2003. She is pursuing a master's degree in human resource development from Villanova University. She is employed by Shire Pharmaceuticals, Wayne, as a human resources project manager.

Landers is the son of Gail and Phillip Landers, Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2000 and received a bachelor's degree in finance from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., in 2005. He is employed by GMO LLC, Boston, as an emerging markets equity trader.
