Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bennett, Hughesville, observed their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 23, 2011.
They were married in Livingston, N.J.
Mrs. Bennett, the former Joanne E. Drumm, is a native of Lewisburg. She is the daughter of the late Jenny and Lawrence Drumm. She received a bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University, Selinsgrove, and a graduate degree from Bucknell University, Lewisburg. She retired from Williamsport Area School District, where she was employed as a teacher and elementary supervisor.

Mr. Bennett, a native of Sunbury, is the son of the late Irma and Walter Bennett. He received a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University. He retired from the Bureau of Employment Security, where he was a supervisor.
They are the parents of a daughter, Julie Ehrgood, Muncy, and a son, Donald L., Unityville. There are three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a dinner, hosted by their family, is being planned for February.
