Announcement has been made of the engagement of Kaylene Jacobson, Montoursville, and Matthew Francis, Williamsport.
A Sept. 22 wedding in Montoursville is being planned.
Jacobson is the daughter of Becky and Ed Jacobson, Montoursville. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education from Lock Haven University in 2010. She is employed by Williamsport Area School District as a teacher.

Francis is the son of Kathy and Kevin Francis, Williamsport. He graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2002 and received a bachelor's degree in residential construction technology and management from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2006. He is employed by Miswaco as a plant manager.
