Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Gotshall Sr., Williamsport, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 18, 2011.
They were married by the Revs. Leo J. Post and Carl Ulrich at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Gotshall, the former Nancy L. Thomke, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Violet P. and Fred J. Thomke. She graduated from the former St. Mary High School in 1959. She retired from AT&T in 2002 and has been the secretary for Nau and Thompson Garage for 30 years.
Mr. Gotshall, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Geraldine B. and Clair R. Gotshall. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1959. He retired from Susquehanna Motor Co., West Milton, in 2002 and has been a mechanic for Nau and Thompson Garage for 35 years.
They are the parents of three sons, Tom Jr., Williamsport, Jeffrey S., Fayetteville, N.C., and Matthew D., Montoursville, and three daughters, Ellen L., Hughesville, Diann M., Williamsport, and Paula J., Blackstone, Va. There are 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a surprise anniversary celebration, hosted by their children, was held Oct. 21 and 22.
