Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Smith, Williamsport, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 22, 2011.
They were married by Monsignor Frank P. McHugh at Annunciation Catholic Church. They attend Ascension Church.
Mrs. Smith, the former Helen Mary Prendergast, is a native of Trenton, N.J. She is the daughter of the late Michael Joseph Prendergast and Mary Jane Winter Predergast. She graduated from the former St. Joseph High School in 1948. She retired from Heller's Market in 1998.
Mr. Smith, a native of Leroy, is the son of the late Jessie and John Smith. He attended schools in Leroy and Williamsport. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955, during the Korean War and he retired from Wirerope Works Inc. in 2008.
They are the parents of one daughter, Ann Ferris, and two sons, Michael and Christopher, all of Williamsport. There are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
