Bird-Furman

Ashley Dawn Bird and Jason Curtis Furman, both of Allenwood, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011.

Chaplain Maj. Max Furman officiated at the ceremony held at Spring Mount Farm, Warriors Mark, where a rehearsal dinner and reception also were held.

The bride is the daughter of Patty and Rick Bird, Pleasant Gap. She graduated from Bellefonte High School in 2004 and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Wilson College, Chambersburg, in 2008. She is employed by Mifflinburg Area Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher.

Furman is the son of Kathy and Max Furman, Allenwood. He graduated from Montgomery Area High School in 2001 and is a self-employed custom farmer.

Matron of honor was Billie Jo Novosel, Howard, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Beth Pewterbaugh, sister of the bridegroom; Jennifer Bird, Centre Hall, sister-in-law of the bride; Jodi Furman, Montgomery, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; Jeri Beth Jarrett, Allenwood; and Chelsea McElwee, Centre Hall, cousin of the bride.

Flower girls were Grace Novosel, Howard, niece of the bride, and Zoe Furman, Montgomery, niece of the bridegroom.

Ring bearers were Trace Furman, Montgomery, nephew of the bridegroom, and Connor Jarrett, Allenwood.

Best man was Max Furman Jr., Montgomery, brother of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Michael Novosel Jr., Howard, brother-in-law of the bride; Will Bird, Centre Hall, brother of the bride; Nathan Jarrett, Allenwood; Ryan McElwee, Centre Hall, cousin of the bride; and Brandon Ulrich, Allenwood.

The couple is residing on their farm in Allenwood.
