Cassandra Lynn Bertrand, Forest Hill, Md., and Joseph Robert Goldsmith, Mechanicsville, Md., were united in marriage at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011.
The Rev. Timothy Shawyer, great uncle of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony held at the Victorian Chapel at the Willow Valley Resort, Lancaster.
A rehearsal dinner was held in the Terrace Room of the Double Tree Resort, Lancaster, and a reception was held at Palm Court of the Willow Valley Resort.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bertrand, Cogan Station. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2003. She received a bachelor's degree in music education from Houghton College, Houghton, N.Y., in 2007 and is pursuing a master's degree at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. She is employed by Harford County School District at Fallston High School, Fallston, Md., as a high school orchestra director.
Goldsmith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Brickey, Charlotte Hall, Md. He graduated from Chopticon High School, Morganza, Md., in 2004. He received a bachelor's degree in music education from Frostburg State University, Frostburg, Md., in 2009, and is pursuing a master's degree at Kent State University. He is employed by Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Fallston, Md., as a contemporary worship music director and also is a substitute teacher in Harford County School District.
Matron of honor was Kimberly Wasp, Williamsport, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Melissa Newberry, Bel Air, Md., Nicole Hatler, Rochester, N.Y., and Megan Delzer, Dover, Del.
Junior bridesmaid was Susan Brickey, Charlotte Hall, Md., sister of the bridegroom.
Best men were Jonathan Beattie, Martinsburg, W.Va., Timothy Hamilton, Mechanicsville, Md., Allen Alvey, Charlotte Hall, brother of the bridegroom, and Kyle Tusing, La Plata, Md.
Ushers were Mike Newberry, Bel Air, Md., and Gary Thompson, Lusby, Md.
Following a Caribbean cruise and a trip to Florida, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Williamsburg, Va., the couple is residing in Forest Hill.
