Mr. and Mrs. John Miller, Williamsport, observed their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 6, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Paul Wheelock at St. Paul Evangelical Church, now St. Paul Calvary United Methodist Church, where they have been members for 50 years.
Mrs. Miller, the former Beverly Ann Roller, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Pearl and T. Harris Roller. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1949 and retired from AT&T in 1988.

Mr. Miller, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Bernardine and John Miller. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1947 and attended Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, N.Y. He served in the Air Force. He retired as owner and leader of Johnny Miller and the Starlighters Orchestra. He retired from Highway Express Lines, where he was the scorekeeper at Original League for 35 years.
They are the parents of two daughters, Sharlene Clapper, Williamsport, and Anne Bennett, Linden, and a son, David Miller, Lock Haven. There are seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and one stepgreat-granddaughter.
In honor of their anniversary, the couple celebrated with family at Country Cupboard Restaurant, Lewisburg.
