BLOOMSBURG - Bloomsburg University's Haas Gallery will feature the work of contemporary artist Wendy Kawabata through Friday. The gallery is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
A reception for the artist is planned from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Kawabata is associate professor of art at the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she teaches drawing and painting.
Born in Lansing, Mich., she earned a bachelor's degree from Massachusetts College of Art and a master's of fine art degree from the University of New Mexico.
