Mr. and Mrs. Donald Barnes, York, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 10, 2011.
They were married in Folkston, Ga.
Mrs. Barnes, the former Sandra Kay Stafford, is a native of Greensboro, N.C. She is the daughter of the late Elva and Alan Ariail. She graduated from Miami Norland High School, Miami, Fla., in 1961. She was self-employed in real estate.

Mr. Barnes, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Alma and Charles Barnes. He attended Williamsport High School and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was self-employed in the insurance business.
They are the parents of two sons, John Scott, Miami, and James Donald, Punta Gorda, Fla., and a daughter, Lori Christine Cardone, York. There are five grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a trip to Eagles Nest, York, hosted by their children, is being planned for Oct. 8.
