Mr. and Mrs. Rayburn Webster, Cogan Station, are observing their 69th wedding anniversary today, Sept. 11, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. Ralph Ebert at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Quiggleville, where they are active members.
Mrs. Webster is the daughter of Ethel and Edward Hornberger. She graduated from Hepburn Township High School and was employed by Sharwell Manufacturing for 16 years.
Mr. Webster is the son of Helen and Dean Webster. He also graduated from Hepburn Township High School and served for 2 1/2 years during World War II. He retired from Textron Lycoming after 38 years of employment.
They are the parents of a son, Terry, Waterville, and two daughters, Linda Kressly, Hammondsport, N.Y., and Holly Tagliaferri, Linden. There are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. They were predeceased by a great-grandson.
