Sara Elizabeth Markel, Spotsylvania, Va., and Jason Jay Kreider, Williamsport, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011.
The Rev. Carl Harris officiated at the ceremony held in Gettysburg.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Gettysburg Hotel and a reception was held at the Inn at Herr Ridge, Gettysburg.

The bride is the daughter of Renita Kay Markel, Stewartstown. She graduated from Kennard Dale High School, Fawn Grove, in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 2009. She is employed by King George County Public Schools, King George, Va.
Kreider is the son of Linda and Jerry Rea, Williamsport. He graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Lock Haven University in 2010. He served in the Army National Guard from 2005 to 2011. He is employed by the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, Stafford, Va.
Matron of honor was Amy Streett and Leslie Williams, both sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaid was Kasey Smith, cousin of the bride.
Flower girl was Kaitlyn Williams, niece of the bride.
Ring bearers were Landon Williams and Jacob Streett, both nephews of the bride.
Best men were Joshua and Michael Kreider, both brothers of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Scott Markel Jr., brother of the bride, and Benjamin Eggler.
Ushers were Joshua Sipple and Daniel Eggler.
Following a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Fredericksburg, Va.
