Mr., Mrs. Dalton R. Rook Sr. observes 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dalton "Spike" R. Rook Sr., Cogan Station, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary April 29, 2011.

They were married by the Rev. George B. Hummer at Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church. They are members of Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, Cogan Station.

Mrs. Rook, the former Judith Ann Cleaver, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Olive M. Phillips. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1960. She retired from Williamsport Area School District in 2001.

Mr. Rook, a native of Williamsport, is the son of Dorothy E. Rook, Trout Run, and the late Richard A. Rook. He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1956 and retired in 1998 from Local 812, where he was employed as a union electrician.

They are the parents of three daughters, Heather Jubic, Oswego, Ill., Tinicia Schick, Williamsport, and Holly Wisniewski, Newark Valley, N.Y., and a son, Dalton Jr., Williamsport. There are 10 grandchildren.

In honor of their anniversary, a celebration, hosted by their children, will be held April 30 at the Wheel Inn, Roaring Branch.
