Mr. and Mrs. Peter W. Thomas Sr., Hillsgrove, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary April 26, 2011.
They were married by the Rev. John Sturgill in Elkton, Md.
Mrs. Thomas, the former Carole Helene Stoler, is a native of Philadelphia. She is the daughter of the late William Theodore and Helen Peterson Stoler. She graduated from Springfield High School, Oreland, in 1958. She was employed by Joe's Place, Wayne, as a waitress, and by Martin P. Costello. She retired in 1992.
Mr. Thomas, a native of Pennwynne, is the son of the late Henry Risley and Dorothy Underdown Thomas. He attended Lower Merion High School, Radnor. He enlisted in the Army, 11th Airborne Division, in 1955, and was honorably discharged in 1958. He was a truck driver for Radnor Township for 23 years and retired in 1992 as a highway foreman.
They are the parents of two daughters, Linda J. Nobes, Newtown, Conn., and Joanne Thomas, Port St. Lucie, Fla., two sons, Peter W. Jr., Wayne, and the late Joseph M., and a special person, Kimberlee A. Arakelian. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
In celebration of their anniversary, they will spend time with family.
