Thanks, Agent Kontz

June 19, 2013

I am appalled at the outcome of the Raymond Kontz III case. First and foremost this should have never went to trial. Raymond Kontz III acted in good faith and did his job when it came to the pins....

Max4ever, I agree with you about conducting a survey the current and ex wives about policemen's fooling around while on duty. I can't say anything about Mr. Kontz, but I do remember reading in the Sun Gazette about the current Chief of Police being caught fooling around back in the early 1990's while on duty, with a woman (not the woman he was married to at the time)in the back seat of his patrol car. I believe was disciplined for it. No one is perfect, but it just shows you what some officers do while on the clock.

I for one disagree with Casey and I have good reason to disagree. There were crimes being perpetrated against myself. I went to city hall and the police chief himself brought me to Ray Kontz saying this was the man to see. I explained my problem, he said he'd take care of it. The harassment and threats continued. Two Weeks later I went back to the station and asked to speak with him. He was angry and stated: "I have important things going on here!!!" My life was being threatened. Is it just me or would think your life being threatened is an important thing? This was NOT some moment of panic, these thugs and meant what they were saying. One had even been arrested with a gun just the week before I spoke to Kontz. Thankfully, another officer and friend of ours alerted me to the real threat these people were. Kontz had better things to do. I believe the jury did their job.

Maybe some of these people who defend the "integrity" and "moral values" of police officers accused/convicted of wrong doing should survey the offenders wife/ex wife. I can assure you many extra marital affairs take place while these men are officially "on duty". There are good & bad in every line of work, just because someone is in law enforcement doesn't mean they are a good, honest citizen who does their job correctly! That's just the way life if....good/bad!

I agree Tedeaux. It is apparent that the civil trial jury saw something amiss with Kontz's side of the argument. From what I know of the incident, in my eyes the guy is guilty as sin and should be dismissed and brought up on criminal charges. He acted outside the scope of any law I can find.

Well Casey, apparently the jury in the case found merit in the accusations lodged against the officer. This is America and you are entitled to your opinion in the matter.....for now, anyway!
