From what I understand there is a second lawsuit but not by the state, it is from the Paterno family.

Any way you look at it the lawsuit filed by the state did not help Corbett at all.

I believe that had the lawsuit prevailed it would have offset some of the monies lost by PSU. So, if that is the case, I can see the logic. Either way, it has been dismissed and yet I wouldn't be surprised to see it tried again.

The whole story about Ray Gricar is very odd. They didn't really seem to look for him very hard when he dissappeared. It had to be tied to the Pen State mess, weather he is dead or alive.

I believe Ray Gricar is living comfortably in Eastern Europe with relatives.

In regards to the lawsuit being thrown out, it shouldn't have been. The NCAA did something that is beynod their own power.

Getting to the point however, I doubt this lawsuit cost us much of anything.

The Commonwealth retains the services of Lawyers and has Lawyers on it's payroll for such things.

I'm not much into conspiracy theories, but I've heard Corbett's name quite a bit criticising him for not prosecuting Sandusky years earlier, so could that lawsuit be something to appease the PSU administration and PSU fans and alumni? And what about Ray Gricar?
