Tourism grants hit broad range of local needs, groups

When money is in short supply in a person's household, a person only spends on needed things. With the hotel tax as other taxes it seems to be a gravy train. Most on the list of organizations receiving grants certainly are not necessities. The most ridiculous is the golf course, that is merely recreation. Another tax levied and wasted. How about helping fire companies, police forces, schools, hospitals, prison guards, etc. It is time for politicians and taxing bodies to wake up and be realistic.

great, now Jersey Shore Borough will get a river walk that we don't need...WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY
