Damaso Marte (RP, Pirates) - Strong Add
The newest reliever to inherit the ninth inning role, Marte is the appropriate add following the news that Matt Capps will miss up to two months with shoulder bursitis. A fantastic left-handed relief pitcher, Marte hasn’t closed with any regularity since his days with the Chicago White Sox in 2003.
FF Live - Furcal Visits Surgery Land
ESPN is reporting that injured Dodgers SS Rafael Furcal will undergo surgery on his ailing lower back, forcing him to miss around eight weeks of action.
