Applicants needed for Conservation Leadership Schools

UNIVERSITY PARK - Students between the ages of 15 and 18 may apply now to attend one of two Conservation Leadership Schools to be held at Penn Stateás Stone Valley Recreation Area near State College. This yearás schools will be held June 22 to 28 and July 6 to 12.
Youth with an interest in natural resources will learn about the environment and conservation during a one-week program that emphasizes field-based, hands-on learning, group problem solving and leadership. Also included will be a special session on leadership, developed by Penn Stateás Pennsylvania Rural Leadership Program, and an interactive ropes course challenge that will foster cooperation and teamwork.
Scholarships are available from participating Conservation Districts in Pennsylvania and from area sportsmen clubs for students representing their district.
