Smart Pet Safety Post-Sandy

October 31, 2012 - Amy Hanna
Our friends at the Huntingdon County (PA) Humane Society always share the best information on their facebook page. I particularly like this post because of the direct impact it has on so many of us right now (or has had) and truly something I didn't consider right away even with my “Type A Over-Preparedness Personality”:

HCHS would like to share this important Hurricane Sandy safety information for you and your pets. The ASPCA is warning pet parents to not allow their pets to drink from standing water or puddles, the water may be toxic and could contain har mful debris if ingested.

Also, while walking your dog, keep a look out for downed power lines and lines touching water. If you come across any downed power lines, please be sure to avoid them. For more safety tips please click on the attached link/article. We only wish for everyone, two and four legged to stay safe.
